Hello, I am Sophia Barashkoff the artist who makes COGENT ARTS greeting cards... with abundant help from my family and friends.

Georgia O'Keefe's words sum up my intention for sharing our greeting cards with you. Our aim is to help you take the time to thoughtfully express your feelings for others. Not a day goes by when I do not think about someone and wish to express my feelings like "How are you?", "I miss you", "You have my sympathy", " You are special to me", "Congratulations!", "Let's celebrate!". It doesn't matter if those people are 5000 miles away or 5 minutes away a beautifully inspired card can fulfill that purpose of connection.

For several decades I have been making fine art prints, paintings, murals, and scenery and backdrops for major motion pictures. Currently, the universe is saying "make greeting cards". Please take some time to peruse the collections and hopefully find cards for the people you care about. We are a new business, and the collections will grow with the seasons and occasions so check back with us often.

The Winter Collection will have a number of special additions soon. Our forthcoming newsletter will have features on art, writing, poetry, cultural traditions, holidays, the environment, sustainable business practices and more.

Cogent Arts cards are made with attention to the unique mood of special occasions. The originals are handmade in Sophia's studio and taken to a locally founded quality printer using FSC certified paper. Our packaging is recycled, recyclable, and manufactured domestically and ethically.

The Birthday collection has images of fun things people do on their birthday or surprises they receive.
