Peace on Earth with Dove and Olive Branch

The earth as seen from outer space is one of my favorite images. It reminds me of the extraordinary advances humans have made and at the same time how incredible it is I am living on this beautiful and amazing planet. The fact I can see these images seems like reason enough, if I already didn't have some, to honor others and the earth with a peaceful attitude. The dove is an ancient universal symbol of peace among other things. The olive branch is also an ancient symbol and in Western cultures is attributed to Eirene the Greek goddess of peace. I think this greeting is meaningful all year round but especially during the winter holidays, a time of reflection and goodwill.
